GREAT SMALL WORKS: YEAR-END SPAGHETTI DINNER: SOLIDARITY SONGS
Tickets: $20 sliding scale, no one turned away for lack of funds – All tickets at the door.
This Spaghetti Dinner will NOT have spaghetti, but it will have an incredible line-up of performances of which Boxcutter is thrilled to be part of. We will share an excerpt from The Loneliness of Either, Or: A Requiem for Joan of Arc, a collaboration with songwriter/composer Ali Dineen which weaves together personal history, the present political moment, and the story of Joan of Arc. A rich tapestry of original music is the vehicle for themes of gender identity, feminism, betrayal, faith, and resilience.
And the line-up also includes: Heather Christian, Rowan Magee, Takemi Kitamura, Emmanuel Elpenord, Garifuna Abaimahani Group, Gregory Corbino, Chinese Theater Works, Frank London, Erica Mancini, Michael Winograd and Friends.
This program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of CulturalAffairs in partnership with the City Council; and supported, in part, by public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts. Additional thanks to: Puppet Slam Network, Scherman Foundation, and the Constance and Jarvis Doctorow Family Foundation.
